Plan a visit!

Whether you have been in church your entire life or this is your first time considering it, Good Shepherd has something for you! We hope you will take the next step by coming in for a visit and worshipping with us on Sunday!

Thanks for checking us out. Why is Good Shepherd so special? Because the people you’ll meet here are real people. Same struggles, challenges, and WINS we all have in life. And that’s something we remind each other of because this world’s tough, and we’re not meant to go it alone. What we “get” here is that we need each other and more importantly we need Jesus. And we have a few phrases we use here that might give you a picture of who we are.

  • “The ground is level at the foot of the cross” – no one is in greater or lesser need of forgiveness in Jesus than anyone else. We all need it … the same.
  • “There’s nothing you can do to make God love you more … OR LESS”   He just does.
  • “Live a life that BEGS the question.” We get that from 1 Peter 3:15, which says, “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that you have.”  Because people want to know … “How are you dealing with all your challenges in life … and still have the positive attitude you do?” And when they ask how … guess who you get to point to? That’s right, Jesus!
  • And our favorite phrase we use here is: “FaithWorks!”  We get that from Ephesians 2:8-10.  What we learn here at Good Shepherd is to trust that the faith we have in Jesus WORKS for our salvation, AND the works we then do – loving the people God puts in our lives – He uses to WORK for their salvation.

That’s really it. We’re not complicated people. Just people who know the love of God for us … and how He wants to grow us, then use us to connect people to Jesus. We get pretty serious here sometimes, but we also have a lot of fun … and a lot of friends … and a lot of family … and always looking to add one more.  Maybe it’s you. We’d love to have you join us!
